Authors on Display

Sep 26, 2016

Over the course of my lifetime, I’ve started a handful of projects that I feel the most proud of. The Read Alberta Books project is right near the top of my list. This project sends travelling displays of award-winning Alberta books to hundreds of rural libraries throughout the province each year. And this fall, the project is evolving even further. In addition to travelling book displays, Read Alberta Books has now added travelling writers. Thanks to financial support from Canada Council, authors Wendy McGrathChris Turner, and Joan Shillington will be the first of our authors to visit local libraries in support of the displays.

Be sure to check out these great events showcasing the best of Alberta writing talent:

Chris Turner, Medicine Hat Public Library, September 29

Wendy McGrath, Provost Library, October 5

Joan Shillington, Stettler Public Library, October 15
