April 30th is Authors for Indies Day

Saturday, April 30th is Canada’s second annual Authors for Indies Day. This is the day when authors across the country head down to their local independent bookstore to shower them with love. We’ll be working as volunteer booksellers, chatting with fellow book lovers, and expressing our appreciation for the bookstores that play such an important role in our cultural lives.    

 As authors we truly do love our local indie bookstores. Their staff go out of their way to celebrate our book launches, order in our books, and host events that bring us together with readers, all while providing us with a steady stream of great reading recommendations.
